What Are Network Lists and Network Mode?

A Network List is a shareable link that lets you invite your audience to support and follow a specific product on Founders Today. Instead of sending everyone directly to your product page, you can create a Network List and share its link with your wider audience. When someone joins through your Network List, they become part of your network on Founders Today. Your Network List is connected to the product you selected when you created it.

Network Lists are especially useful when you are sharing your launch with a broad audience, such as your social media followers, newsletter subscribers, customers, friends and personal network, existing community, or people who are interested in supporting your launch but are not founders. You do not need to ask everyone to become a founder just to support your product. Give them your Network List instead.

Creating one is simple. Go to your Network section and select Create Network List. Choose the product you want the network to support, give the network a name, and create it. You will receive a unique link that you can share anywhere. For example: founderstoday.org/network/8177244532. Share that link on your social media, in your newsletter, in your community, or anywhere else you want to bring your audience.

Each Network List is connected to the product you selected when you created it. Launching another product later? Create a new Network List for that product. This keeps each network focused on the product and audience relationship it was created for.

When someone opens your Network List, they will see the product connected to that network. They can then interact with the product and join your network. Once they join, they will participate through Network Mode. Your audience does not need to understand how Founders Today works before joining. The Network List simply gives them a clear path from your audience to your product.

Network Mode is designed for people who are joining Founders Today through a founder's network. It gives them a way to participate without requiring them to become a founder. People in Network Mode can still be active on Founders Today. They can discover products, support launches, upvote, comment, bookmark, follow and participate in the communities and networks they belong to. The main difference is that some founder-specific features are not available while they are participating through a network. For example, launching your own product requires Founder Mode.

Yes. Network Mode is not a separate website or a separate application. You still use Founders Today normally and can participate in the platform. Your experience is simply tailored around the network you joined. Think of it this way: Founder Mode is for building and launching. Network Mode is for discovering, supporting and participating.

Launching a product requires Founder Mode. When you are participating through a network, founder-only features may appear unavailable. You will be able to see what is available to founders, but you will need to leave your current network before accessing Founder Mode. This allows you to decide whether you want to continue participating as a network member or become a founder yourself. You can leave from the Network Mode page.

Yes. You can leave a network from your account via the Network Mode page. Leaving a network does not delete your Founders Today account. It simply ends your participation in that particular network. After leaving, you can continue using Founders Today normally and access Founder Mode according to the platform's requirements.

Yes. You can participate in different founders' networks. For example, you might join one network to support a project from a founder you know and another network because you are interested in a completely different product. Each network is associated with its own product and founder.

Founders Today gives founders an Update post type that allows them to communicate with their network. For example, a founder may launch a new product later and want to tell people who already follow them about it. They can publish an Update to their network and invite interested members to join their new network. This makes it possible to stay connected with an audience beyond a single product launch. You choose whether you want to follow or join a new network. Nothing is automatically moved for you.

It depends on who you are inviting. Use your normal product link when you are inviting founders, builders, colleagues, professional contacts or people who should experience Founders Today as founders. Use a Network List when you are sharing broadly across social media or with people who may simply want to support your product. This gives them a place to participate without requiring them to become founders.

No. Network Lists are optional. You can continue sharing your normal product link whenever that makes more sense for your audience. The Network List simply gives you another way to share your launch with people who may not be founders.

No. Joining a network means you are participating through Network Mode. You can still be an active Founders Today user without becoming a founder. When you are ready to build and launch your own product, you can move into Founder Mode according to the platform's requirements.

No. Supporting a product and joining someone's network are two different things. You can support a product without joining the founder's network. A Network List is specifically for people who choose to participate through that founder's network.

Want to bring your wider audience to your launch? Create a Network List and share it with them. Founders Today is founder-first, not founder-only.

It may cause too much friction because both onboarding and platform usage is tailored for founders. If they cannot relate with the flow they may bounce off quickly. Our system may also flag and remove upvotes from this type of account because their overall activity does not match our platform. For some reason they may behave less like a founder and more like a bot, since a user in a room of too many unrelated topics may stay quiet, which is a red flag to us. Using a Network List instead gives them a smoother experience designed for them.
