About RecallBound
RecallBound is an iPhone active-recall flashcard app built around one idea: recall more, forget less. Instead of passively rereading cards, you practice by retrieving answers through recognition, reverse recall, sentence completion, and guided spelling. Game-style sessions use 8, 12, or 18-layer descents, and Recall Codex tracks mastery across your decks. You can import Anki .apkg decks with field mapping, starting with a starter deck plus one imported deck in the free core. There is no account, no ads, and all study data stays on your device and works offline.
Problem it solves
Rereading flashcards feels productive, but the answers often fade because you never had to retrieve them. Learners also juggle existing decks, accounts, ads, and online-only tools when they just want focused, private practice on their phone.
Who it's for
iPhone users learning languages and other subjects with flashcards, including students and self-learners who already use Anki decks
