About FirstRep
FirstRep started as a side project for my portfolio. I used to be skinny and inconsistent with working out, until I locked in for a year and finally hit my body goals. People kept asking how I stayed consistent, and that question turned into an app. People used it, loved it, but we couldn't monetize it. Instead of shutting it down, we looked for a problem it could solve for a different audience, and found one: most gyms in Nigeria and across Africa still run on manual, paper-based systems, and they struggle with member retention. So we rebuilt FirstRep into a gym management platform: members get an app to track their fitness, and gyms get an admin dashboard to run and scale their business
Problem it solves
Gyms and trainers across Nigeria and Africa are still managing memberships, attendance, and payments manually, which makes it hard to retain members and scale. The software that could help them is built for Western gyms, doesn't fit local workflows, and is priced way above what makes sense for this market. FirstRep gives gyms and trainers an affordable, locally-built system to run and grow their business.
