I built the product. I have no idea how to sell it.
I've spent the last several months building Trigr and I think I made the very classic founder mistake of spending wayyyy more time thinking about the product than how I was actually gonna get people to use it.
Trigr is basically something I'm building for B2B sales teams around a problem I got really interested in: there is so much information sitting across CRM, emails, conversations, etc but deals still quietly go cold, follow ups get missed, commitments get forgotten and sometimes nobody realizes until way later. It also has a lot of other features which can be super useful for sales teams.
The idea with Trigr is to eventually become kind of a revenue intelligence/operating layer that can catch those things, show you the evidence behind it and help figure out what should happen next.
I'm finally at the point where I need REAL people using it though.
And thats where I'm stuck.
I can keep testing it myself forever but that doesn't really prove anything. I need a few actual B2B teams to connect their data and basically tell me: does this work? what is wrong? what did it miss? is anything it surfaced actually useful?
I don't have customers or case studies to point to yet either, so there is this weird chicken and egg problem where I need real usage to build trust, but I need trust before someone is willing to let a new product anywhere near their sales data.
I originally thought Reddit would be one of the ways I'd find early users but that has very clearly not worked out for me lol, so now I'm trying to figure out distribution basically from zero. I have no ideas where to find people or which platforms to use.
For people here who have actually gotten their first few B2B customers/design partners:
how would you get the first 5 companies for something like this?
Cold outreach? Free pilots? Founder communities? Literally just message hundreds of sales leaders? Something else?
I'm not really looking for generic “post content consistently” advice. I'm trying to figure out what I should actually DO to get 5 companies using this with real data.
Would genuinely appreciate advice from anyone who's crossed this stage before.
